This slideshow gives a brief outline of some of the basic tangents you might find in art and design. Tangents, when found in someone’s work unintentionally, can often distract from your original message, but if you understand them you can use them to your advantage.

These Photoshop swatch sets are something I’ve made many of over the years to help my pallette out. I’ll often make smaller ones for specific projects but will usually return to these four. They’re fairly self explanatory as to what they are, and once you’ve loaded them into a blank swatch palette you can resize the toolbox so that it actually looks like how they appear in the preview images.

The Humans.txt movement was original started by humanstxt.org in an effort to give visitors some more information about the site authors. My own templates for humans.txt and designers.txt can be found here. Designers.txt was something I made in a similar light to humans.txt, but aimed more for the websites of artists and designers, to allow them to give a little more information about their work, process and so on.
