Monkeyslunch is a website that serves to connect with other artists and designers. We sell artwork, designs, and resources for artists and designers. We collect personal information from our users and customers in the regular course of doing business. This page answers some of your mostfrequently asked questions, and lets you know exactly how we’re protecting the information you entrust to us. However, we will always do our best to protect your personal information, as well as respect it. We hate spam, like our privacy as much as you do, and are people too.

What personal information do you collect about me?

We collect the following information about you:

  • Name
  • Email Address
  • Payment card number
  • Purchase history

When you visit our web site, we also collect standard information many websites collect:

  • information about your computer, including your IP address, the type of operating system and browser you use, and your computer’s location
  • what pages you visit on our site and what links you click on
  • what sites may have referred you to ours

How do you use this information?

The main reasons we collect personal information from you are:

  • Customer relationship management (have a complaint, need to chat? We need to know who you are!)
  • Customer service (Trouble with an order? Obviously we need the appropriate information about what that order was!)
  • Marketing (If you signed up for a newsletter or notification for an upcoming product then of course we will communicate with you, but otherwise we do not have any intention of sending you unwarranted email that you did not ask for. We hate spam too, and never want to send you anything that seems even remotely spammy.)
  • Orders (It’s only logical that if you want to order something from this website that you’d need to input some payment information and personal info, but we don’t use that information for anything other than completing the sale, helping you if there’s an issue, or letting you know there’s an update to the product or service you ordered)
  • Returns (No sale record? No refund. Makes sense, eh?)
  • To complete a sale/transaction (Again, it’s only logical that if you want to order something from this website that you’d need to input some payment information and personal info, but we don’t use that information for anything other than completing the sale, helping you if there’s an issue, or letting you know there’s an update to the product or service you ordered)

If it’s a necessary part of any of these transactions, we may disclose your information to another company. For example, when you join our mailing list, we pass on the information you give us to a Mail Chimp, the company we use for newsletter management. We also may disclose your information with Gumroad, the company we use to fulfill orders and complete sales/transactions. We give none of these companies permission to use your information for anything other than what we have asked them to do, which is send newsletters and manage transactions.

Underage information

Monkeyslunch often posts artwork that involves nudity or other mature themes, and often uses language of mature colour in blog posts, newsletters and other written material. Due to those facts, our Services are not directed to persons under 14. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If we become aware that a child under 14 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time.
