Happy New Year, Folks!

Just thought I would let you know that if you’re in the Calgary area you can come by the 1111 show today at any point to see some work by myself and my friends Chase Toole, Scott Carmichael and Roxanne Wang.  This is a very interesting show because the organizer, Paul, was trying to get 1111 artists to submit work for the show.  I couldn’t say for sure how close they got to the actual numbers in artists, but where the artwork is concerned I thought the entire warehouse was full.  There’s something for everyone at the show too, live music, food, all manner of painting and drawing styles, sculpture, some pretty kinky nude photography, and so on.  You can find the 1111 show at the Calgary Meals On Wheels location, 225 58th Ave. S. E.!

Also, this month I officially became a published model.  One of the talented Nick Wong’s photos of me can be found in this month’s CMYK #42.  I’ll be submitting work to the Sketchbook Project with Art House as well.  In just a couple short months you can find 2 of my pieces of artwork in CMYK #43, the same month that Popgun #3 will be hitting shelves also with work by yours truly.  A pretty exciting few months with lots of gallery shows, publishings and eventually even graduation from my grueling 4 year illustration program.  I feel incredibly honored to be a part of so many great things this year, especially when I am constantly questioning where I am going with my work and whether or not I am good enough for whatever path I choose in the end.  Thanks to everyone who’s given me such great opportunities!
