Went to the San Diego comic con with a few friends and just got back on the 28th. Got to see some pretty crazy stuff, like the amount of costumes and just the amount of people alone that show up for the SDCC. I also took a little trip to the Zoo, which is also famous, and explored the city and coastline a little. I didn’t get artsy with any of my photos, but you’re still welcome to check them out and gleam something off the trip! I didn’t take a lot of photos of artists and whatnot as the people I was traveling with did a lot of that and I figured I’d steal their photos, but there’s still a Mike Mignola there, some of the actors from Watchmen and so on. Anyways, here we go:

I start with the Ugly Dolls simply because I thought they’d make the best thumbnail for the post! heh.
Above is Doug Sneyd. Long time Playboy cartoonist since the 60’s or so that I took Kyle and Sean to check out since his style reminded me of Kyle. He ended up being from Canada and was really happy to meet some fellow artists from Canada as well. He took our picture first and said that it would appear shortly after the beginning of August on his blog: http://www.dougsneyd.blogspot.com/
Mike Mignola posing with some random comic guy. I snuck in on his photo op. Muahaha.
A small plane wrote “SEEK THE SIX” in the sky over and over again.
From the same area where I spotted the plane I was befriended by this little birdie. He was checking out my shoe and bouncing all over the place. Eventually though one of his friends came along and pooped on my friend Sean’s James Jean print that he had been protecting so maternally. Funny but very sad. Luckily the print was okay.
There’s more in San Diego than just the con. There’s a beautiful city there too! I wandered around the coastline with the guys quite a bit. There was always really expensive looking yachts in the water and the weather was almost always gorgeous while we were there.
The zoo is world famous, of course I went to the zoo.
I didn’t get any good shots of the tigers or lions, and despite the San Diego Zoo being famous for the pandas I didn’t get to see them either! There was a line up a couple blocks long just to get in and take a peak at the lil guys.
And that concludes the Zoo and the trip! Not everything was in order, mind you, but that’s mass uploading on photobucket for you. Hopefully I’ll have more to share when I get to see my friend’s Shawn, Kyle, Ed and Connor’s pictures.
